My Clinical Bio

I have been a medical student for five years; it has been a journey of self-discovery, identifying interests, development, and understanding life dynamics. I have always loved science and participated in science fairs, and I am now working on my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degrees.

I hold a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education from St Joseph’s Vocational School Mbarara, a Uganda Certificate of Education from Ibanda Secondary School and Primary Leaving Education from Ibanda Town School.

Clinically, as a medical student, I practice in major hospital departments, attending pediatrics, surgery, internal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology in addition to specialized clinics like dermatology, ophthalmology, ear/nose/throat, and psychiatry. I acquired basic psychiatry knowledge during rotations in the psychiatry department where we attended different wards, worked with licensed professionals, medical officers and psychiatrists, and handled several diagnoses. I continue to attend similar departments in different regions around Uganda, experiencing diverse populations and risk factors related to cultural variances.

What I Really Want You to Know

I love building a true, deep understanding with the people I work with. When we create space for genuine, human connection, it builds a foundation of trust. This enables us to dig deep into your history to uncover the underlying cause of complaints and determine the exact mode of therapy needed. Aiming to create such an experience may take time, and it is totally dependent on your needs. We must therefore move through the healing journey together.

How I Weave Trauma Model Therapy Into My Practice?

I seek to understand one’s history, current beliefs, and state of mind. Then, I blend TMT with other modes of therapy to achieve set goals. Since the mind constantly changes, I can stay in touch with my patients if there’s a need to evaluate consequent mindsets even after therapy goals have been achieved.
