Clinical Bio

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor who earned my Bachelor's in Criminology and Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I began my career working with offenders in prison units and on probation, quickly learning that "hurt people hurt people." Driven by my own experiences, I transitioned to supporting victims of abuse while continuing my work with offenders on a volunteer basis.

When I found my sweet spot working at a police department to support trauma survivors, I realized that the responding officers, firefighters, and paramedics had few resources and were hurting as well. Watching this pain bleed into their daily lives inspired me to provide officer wellness and consulting for local departments, assisting our first responder community and veterans. Today, I continue this passion as a certified practitioner of EMDR and ART as specialized trauma interventions.

What I Really Want you to Know

My clinical background is extensive, and my personal experiences with trauma opened my eyes to critical gaps in resources. I have worked with children, teens, adults, and couples across various phases of life, practicing in a wide range of settings—including prison units, probation, courtrooms, advocacy centers, domestic violence shelters, law enforcement crisis response teams, hospitals, and funeral homes.

Today, my driving passion is to serve our local community, those who protect us, and anyone exposed to daily hardships, helping them disconnect from work and reconnect with themselves. Alongside supporting crime survivors, I am continually amazed by human resilience. Even amid chaos and heartache, people possess a remarkable capacity to adapt and overcome barriers. Witnessing the power of healing and relief in my office alongside my clients remains deeply moving.

How I Weave Trauma Model Therapy Into My Practice

Trauma Model Therapy (TMT) is highly adaptable and seamlessly weaves into clinical work by highlighting often-overlooked aspects of the human experience. Clients can engage in trauma processing through modalities like EMDR, ART, IFS, and DBT while integrating the TMT framework to achieve the desired and long-awaited peace in their life.
