CLINICAL BIO 

I am a final-semester medical student with hands-on clinical experience across several regional referral hospitals in Uganda, including Lira, Jinja, Buhinga, Kayunga and Mubende. My training has been grounded in practical, patient-centred care, allowing me to work closely with diverse patient populations and develop a flexible, resource-conscious approach to clinical practice. I did my psychiatric rotation at Buhinga Regional Referral Hospital, where I had the opportunity to interface closely with patients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, strengthening both my clinical skills and appreciation for compassionate, individualised care. I further broadened my understanding on DID and TMT through the TMT Level 1 programme, which enhanced my approach to working with clients and supporting their mental wellbeing.

HOW I WEAVE TMT INTO MY CLINICAL PRACTICE 

My training in Trauma Model Therapy has shaped my approach to mental healthcare by helping me view patients through the lens of their experiences, rather than simply their diagnoses. It has taught me to dig deeper on an individual basis, highlighting the part past trauma & childhood experiences play in the psychological upbringing of an individual.
